About Todd Bloom
Todd Bloom is an attorney, CPA, financial planner, U.S. Navy veteran, and community leader with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate complex legal and financial challenges.
Todd received J.D. and M.B.A degrees from Tulane University, an M.A. from the Naval War College, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Washington, and a diploma from the College of Naval Command and Staff. Todd also holds other professional credentials, including CPA, CFA, and CFP.
Throughout his career, he has advised clients on tax, business, estate planning, and financial matters, earning a reputation for thoughtful analysis, integrity, and sound judgment.
Todd proudly served his country in the United States Navy, including a recall to active duty following the 9/11 attacks, and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 2018. His military service reinforced the values of duty, accountability, and respect for the rule of law that continue to guide him today.
Todd is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Washington and the Eastern District of Louisiana, the U.S. Tax Court, and the Washington and Louisiana state bars.
In addition to his legal practice, Todd has served in leadership roles within the legal profession, including serving on the Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors for the 2023–2026 term and was re-elected to serve a second term through September 2029. He has worked to strengthen public confidence in the legal system and promote fairness, professionalism, and access to justice.
Todd is running for the Washington State Supreme Court because he believes judges should faithfully apply the law as written, uphold the Constitution, and ensure every person who enters the courtroom receives a fair and impartial hearing. He is committed to bringing his broad legal experience, dedication to public service, and independent judgment to Washington's highest court.
Todd and his wife Katy call Tacoma home. They have two adult children.
